In memoriam : Ted “Teeder” Kennedy, quintessential Toronto hockey hero, 1925—2009
Aug 16th, 2009 | By Counterweights Editors | Category: In BriefWe were saddened to hear that Ted “Teeder” Kennedy, who played centre for the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey club in the 1940s and 1950s – and helped them win five Stanley Cups – passed away in Port Colborne, Ontario on August 14, 2009, at the age of 83.
We are pleased, however, that we managed to convince one of our intermittent sports reporters, Dominic Berry, to quickly prepare a personal tribute to Teeder, with whom Mr. Berry apparently once actually shook hands, albeit at a quite young age. You can check out his tribute by going to the Sporting Life category on the right-hand side of the page, or by CLICKING HERE. Meanwhile, our condolences to all of “Hello Canada and hockey fans in the United States.”
